The reliability of supply in distribution networks can be improved by islanding (parts of) the network as autonomous microgrids case a contingency. Microgrids are commonly fed inverter-based distributed energy resources, which causes transient stability challenges due to lack inertia and strongly coupled dynamics. is conventionally analyzed time-domain analysis. However, energy-function based analysis has advantages over analysis, it provides result for all initial conditions allows uncertainty taken into account with domain attraction. generally unbalanced, however models unbalanced lacking literature.
